Some designs are free; others require a purchase or sign-in. Check that the designer permits your intended use and third-party paid printing; a free download does not automatically grant permission. What files can I upload for 3D printing?

STL, OBJ, STEP, STP, and 3MF accepted. STL, OBJ, STEP, and 3MF include 3D previews. Up to 5 files, 50 MB each and 75 MB total. FDM printing in PLA or Silk PLA; PETG by request. Nominal build volume: 256 × 256 × 256 mm.

How do I save a 3MF for an AMS multicolor quote?

Use a Bambu Studio project (.3mf) with 2–4 PLA filament entries and saved color assignments.

  1. Open your model in Bambu Studio. Select the Bambu Lab P1S printer profile.
  2. Set up the project filaments. Add 2, 3 or 4 PLA entries in the Filament list. Give each a color and note its number: 1, 2, 3 or 4. Remove unused entries and check assignments again.
  3. Assign each region to a filament. For separate objects or parts, choose their filament number in the Objects list. For regions on one mesh, use Color Painting. Adding colors to the list alone does not assign them to the model.
  4. Check and save. Slice the plate and inspect the color preview. Then choose File → Save Project As and save a .3mf project. Reopen it to check that the filament list and painted regions remain.
  5. Upload to PrintPals. Choose AMS multicolor, select the same number of colors as the saved project, and match them in order: website Slot 1 replaces project Filament 1, Slot 2 replaces Filament 2, and so on.

Example: If Filament 1 is the body and Filament 2 is the lettering, select the body color in Slot 1 and the lettering color in Slot 2.

The slot numbers here refer to your project filament order. You do not need to connect an AMS or load physical spools to prepare the file; we handle the printer’s spool mapping.

Getting “review required”? Check that your project has 2–4 saved PLA entries and that the website color count matches. Upload the saved Bambu project, not an STL, STEP, geometry-only 3MF or sliced G-code file. For one color, choose Single color.

We re-slice your project using our print settings. Your AMS quote includes flushing waste, prime-tower material and color-change time.

Bambu Studio multicolor guide ↗
How is my online 3D printing quote calculated?

Quotes use Bambu Studio’s total sliced filament weight and print time, including AMS flushing, prime tower and color changes when multicolor is selected for the configured P1S profile. Material, waste allowance, electricity, machine wear, labor, packaging, and profit are included. Shipping and tax are separate. Pricing appears only when the slicing service returns a valid result. Online payment also requires available shipping and a verified tax rate.

Are my designs private?

Your uploads are stored privately for quoting and production, and are not published as products. You must have the rights to print the submitted designs.

Terms of service

PrintPals is operated by AAVICO. Customers supply designs and must hold the rights to have them printed. Uploading a file starts an estimate when the slicing workstation is available. Checkout displays the final printing price, shipping and tax before you pay through PayPal. Production is queued only after payment is verified. We may contact you at the email provided with questions about your order. If we cannot fulfill your order, we will issue a refund.

Material, settings, price, payment, and production timing are confirmed before printing. Layer lines, color variation, and manufacturing tolerances are part of filament printing. Specify critical dimensions and intended use when submitting a request.

We may decline files that are unsafe, infringe rights, or cannot be manufactured appropriately. Cancellation, damage, defects, and refund requests are reviewed according to the agreed order and applicable customer rights.

Privacy & uploaded designs

We collect contact information, project instructions, uploaded files, and request records for quoting, printing, delivery, and support. Files are stored privately for this workflow and are not added to a public product catalog.

Necessary information may be shared with hosting, payment, delivery, and tax-rate providers. California street address, city, and ZIP code are sent to CDTFA to estimate the applicable tax rate. We do not sell personal information. Marketing messages require opt-in and can be declined or unsubscribed from using the form above.

Access, correction, deletion, and retention questions can be raised with your request confirmation and the email used for the project, subject to accounting, legal, and operational requirements.
